The Penny Brohn UK Hub in Bristol City Centre is more than a charity shop on your local high street.
At 49 Queens Road we have created a unique space where we can offer some of our services and wellbeing therapies from beautiful, purpose-built rooms in the same building as our charity shop which raises money to help fund these services.
We sell donated goods alongside healthy food, books and other products to support wellbeing & living with cancer, and pride ourselves on providing exceptional customer service.
We stock all the usual things you would expect to find in a charity shop as well as a few surprises, from pre-loved clothing, toys, books and homeware, to aromatherapy oils, gift ideas, nutritional resources and Pukka Tea.
We have a friendly team of staff and volunteers here to help you with your shopping experience or questions about our services.
 

All proceeds from your purchases goes towards helping people live well with cancer via our online services and one-to-one appointments

Please be mindful that staffing restrictions due to COVID-19 may affect our opening times, but we will be doing our best to open every day as promised.

Shopping Safely With Us

Our visitor limit to allow social distancing is a maximum of 6 customers in the Hub at any time.

To keep everyone safe we would like to kindly ask all visitors to:

  • Wear a face mask or mouth covering if you are able to.
  • Respect our staff and other customers and maintain a safe distance between yourself and anyone else in the shop.
  • Use the handwash provided before you enter the shop and resist the temptation to touch things as you browse with us.
  • Speak to one our friendly team if you need assistance.
  • Please try to pay by card or contactless payment if possible. We still accept cash but you can help us prevent the spread of COVID-19 by using alternative methods of payment.

Returns Policy

We will happily exchange or refund any item returned to us in the condition it was bought from us, with proof of purchase and price tag attached, within 14 days of purchase. Our staff are here to help and we will always do our best to resolve any issues with faulty or unwanted purchases.

Donating To Us

  • Keep everything safe - Please ensure all your lovely things are well packaged in secure bags or boxes.
  • Make sure everything is clean - Please wash your items of clothing and any other household items before giving them to us where possible.
  • Be selective - Please only bring good quality donations to us and try not to bring too much at once.
  • Sign up to Gift Aid - By signing up to GiftAid when you donate to us you can increase the value of your donations by 25% at no additional cost to you.
  • Donate with care - Please do not leave items outside the Hub when we are closed, and call ahead or book a donation slot to let us know you're coming if you can.
