Our favourite recipes have a story to tell. They connect us to our past, to our culture, to our happy, sad and memorable times - to who we are.

Eat Share Love "Our cherished recipes and the stories behind them" is a unique collection of recipes curated with the aim of bringing people together through the power of shared food and stories.

Award winning food-writer and founder of Bristol charity 91 Ways Kalpna Woolf is an entrepreneur and charity campaigner. She has worked with Nigella Lawson, Nigel Slater, Rick Stein and the Hairy Bikers to name a few, and is well-known and highly respected on the food circuit as a festival chef, food writer, storyteller and seasoned food awards judge.

Kalpna's love of food comes from her Indian heritage and in 2015 she launched her charity 91 Ways, which seeks to bring diverse communities together using the power of food to share stories and break down barriers.

She has received The Guild of Food Writers Inspiration Award, BBC's Food and Farming Food Hero Award, Crumbs Food Magazine Food Hero and the Asian Women of Achievement Award. She was also featured in Waitrose Magazine as one of “20 people Making the World a Better Place to Live and Eat in 2020”.

For this beautiful book, 91 Ways reached out to people from communities across Bristol, who generously shared their memories, personal reflections and an incredible array of international recipes.

Eat Share Love is full of colourful, vibrant and mouth-watering dishes such as fragrant saffron rice, butter chicken and cardamom-rose pastries, from some familiar Bristolian faces including Peaches Golding OBE and Patricia Alvarez of Chilean Café & Food Store La Ruca, plus a special recipe dedicated to 91 Ways Ambassador and friend of our founder Penny Brohn, Christina Robino.

Proceeds from the sale of this publication through our online shop will support both the work done by 91 Ways as well as Penny Brohn UK

We hope you enjoy exploring new cuisines and cultures through this book, and share some incredible meals with friends, family and the people around you.
